Lamarr Box Jr., a 21-year-old man from East St. Louis, died after a violent shooting on April 3, 2026, in the Soulard neighborhood of St. Louis, Missouri. The shooting unfolded around 6 p.m. at a gas station near South 7th Street and Russell Boulevard, identified in one report as 710 Russell Boulevard. What began as a confrontation inside or around the store escalated into a gunfight, with bullets fired both inside the business and in the parking lot.
