On the evening of Friday, January 3, 2025, a violent domestic dispute culminated in tragedy at a residence in the 1200 block of Laire Drive in Bellefontaine Neighbors, St. Louis County, Missouri. Authorities were summoned to the scene around 8:40 p.m. following reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers discovered the victim, 30-year-old male Gerrick Fortenberry, lying on the ground and suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
