Jacqueline Johnson, a 32-year-old woman, was fatally shot in Nashville, Tennessee on the evening of Friday, May 4, 2018. The incident occurred in the parking lot of the Firehouse Discount Liquor Store located on Dickerson Pike.
Earlier in the evening, Johnson had been involved in an altercation with a man inside the liquor store. Following the dispute, at approximately 8:45 p.m., the man shot Johnson in the neck while she was in the parking lot.
She was transported to Skyline Medical Center, where she ultimately succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead.
Witnesses at the scene described the shooter as a Black man in his early 30s, standing about 5-feet-8-inches tall and weighing around 165 pounds. He was reportedly wearing blue jeans and a multicolored shirt. He was seen fleeing the scene in a late-model black sedan.
A suspect in the fatal shooting was later arrested in Texas.
