On March 25, 2020, LaKayla Garrett, a 35-year-old woman from Nashville, TN, was tragically found dead near the intersection of Herman Street and 24th Avenue North. She was discovered lying in the grass with multiple gunshot wounds. The incident occurred between 8:30pm and 9:30pm, and she was pronounced deceased at the scene. A bag of marijuana was found near her body, but the motive behind the shooting remains unknown.
