In the early hours of New Year's Day 2022, the life of 20-year-old Nicholas Gage Sampson was tragically cut short in Dyersburg, Tennessee. Sampson, a male, was attending a party on Light Street when violence erupted. Officers from the Dyersburg Police Department responded to a call about a shooting and discovered Sampson suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite immediate medical attention, he succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
The investigation into the homicide quickly pointed to a 15-year-old juvenile from Ridgely as the primary suspect. In a significant development, the teenager turned himself in to the authorities later that same day. He was subsequently charged with first-degree murder in connection with Sampson's death.
