In the spring of 2007, the life of 18-year-old John Yanders Jr. was tragically cut short in Dyersburg, Tennessee. A Black male born on August 31, 1988, Yanders was a young man with his whole life ahead of him. Remembered by family and friends for his vibrant personality, he was described as funny, caring, and a protector to those he loved. He had obtained his brick and masonry license and was known as a loyal friend and family member.
