On June 9, 2018, at approximately 11:11 p.m., a tragic shooting occurred on the 2200 block of North 20th Street in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Kameron Chad Gilfillian, a 20-year-old Black male, was among five individuals struck by gunfire. He sustained multiple gunshot wounds to his chest, forearm, and leg. Despite immediate medical attention, Kameron succumbed to his injuries the following morning at Temple University Hospital.
The incident unfolded when four men opened fire on a group of individuals, including a 5-year-old child. A total of 42 shell casings were recovered from the scene, indicating a high-caliber weapon was used. Kameron's family described him as a loving son, brother, and friend, deeply missed by all who knew him.
As of now, there have been no arrests or publicly identified suspects in connection with Kameron Gilfillian's death.
