In the early morning hours of October 22, 2022, a dispute between two cleaning crews in a Philadelphia ShopRite parking lot escalated into a fatal encounter. Brian K. Crooms, a 44-year-old man, was shot in the chest and tragically lost his life. The incident, which took place at the grocery store located at 6301 Oxford Avenue, was reported to the 2nd Police District at approximately 3:07 a.m.
