On the night of December 16, 2020, at approximately 11:08 p.m., Philadelphia Police officers responded to a report of a person shot on the 2300 block of Tasker Street in the Point Breeze neighborhood. Upon arrival, they discovered 30-year-old Corey Jaynes, a Black male, lying in the street with multiple gunshot wounds, including injuries to the head.
