In the winter of 2013, a night of celebration ended in tragedy for a Philadelphia family. Darrell Banks, a 47-year-old African American man, was walking home from a birthday party in North Philadelphia on January 4th when his life was cut short. The father of ten was fatally shot by plainclothes police officers.
