On August 20, 2020, Will Myatt, a 29-year-old Black male, was fatally shot in West Philadelphia. He was walking out of a dog park on the 700 block of North 46th Street with his two young children, aged 3 and 9, and their dog when a masked gunman approached them and opened fire. Myatt was struck multiple times in the torso and was transported to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
