On the evening of August 20, 2020, a senseless act of violence cut short the life of 29-year-old Will Myatt, a Black male, in Philadelphia. Myatt was leaving a dog park on the 700 block of North 46th Street in West Philadelphia with his two young children, aged 3 and 9, and their dog when the tragedy unfolded. Around 8:16 p.m., as they were making their way out of the park, a man wearing a black mask approached them and opened fire.
