In the quiet community of Hughesville, Pennsylvania, a tragedy unfolded on March 3, 2020, claiming the life of 29-year-old Kristin Paige Walters. A loving mother, Kristin was found deceased in her bedroom from a gunshot wound in what was later determined by investigators to be a murder-suicide.
The events of that morning began to surface when Kristin's partner, 36-year-old Wesley Minier, placed a 911 call requesting an ambulance for his child.
However, when emergency responders arrived at their Mount Zion Hill Road home, they made a grim discovery. Minier was found deceased in the kitchen from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound, while Kristin was found in a bedroom.
Present in the home at the time were two young children, who were thankfully unharmed and immediately taken into protective custody by Lycoming County Children and Youth Services. The investigation conducted by the state police and the Lycoming County Coroner's Office concluded that Minier shot Kristin before taking his own life.
