On the night of May 31, 2020, a burst of gunfire shattered the peace on the 3900 block of Fairmount Avenue in Philadelphia, leaving three people struck by bullets. Among them was 23-year-old Shakiyah Burston, a Black female, who was found by responding Philadelphia Police officers at 11:42 p.m. suffering from a gunshot wound.
