Suzette Shivers, aged 55, was found dead on April 1, 2016, in her home on the 1900 block of West Bristol Street in Philadelphia. On the evening of her death, Philadelphia Police officers responded to reports of a house fire. The fire department extinguished a blaze on the first floor of the property, but upon further inspection, Suzette was discovered in the basement with severe head trauma.
