In Ruston, Louisiana, the evening of May 9, 2009, ended in tragedy for 37-year-old Kevin Dewayne Foster. An African American male, Foster was in the front yard of his home in the 1200 block of Alpine Street when he was shot by an unknown assailant. The Ruston Police Department received a call about the shooting and responded to the scene. Foster was quickly transported to a local hospital, but he succumbed to his injuries and died a short time later. The initial investigation determined that he ...
