On a tragic day in April of 2016, a wave of violence that had been washing over Detroit claimed another life. James Eldridge, a 28-year-old African-American man, was fatally shot on the east side of the city on April 9th. The incident that ended Eldridge's life also resulted in the death of another individual, Michelle Nicole Artist.
