On February 2, 2024, around 1:48 AM, an incident occurred at the Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers restaurant located on North Service Road in Ruston, Louisiana. Austin Johnson, an 18-year-old student from Bossier City, Louisiana, and a student at Louisiana Tech University, was fatally shot in the drive-thru area of the restaurant.
