In the early morning hours of July 7, 2020, the life of 20-year-old Antonio Tierrel Robinson of Ruston, Louisiana, was tragically cut short. Robinson was a passenger in a vehicle traveling west on a service road after leaving a local Whataburger. The car made a stop at an Exxon before continuing its journey, a decision that preceded a sudden and senseless act of violence. As the vehicle proceeded, unknown individuals opened fire, striking Robinson in the back. He was rushed to the Northern Louisiana Medical Center, but tragically, his injuries proved fatal, and he was pronounced deceased.

Antonio, known to some as 'Kut' or '2 flat,' was remembered by his mother, Alishia Robinson, as a 'genuine, kind-hearted, funny, goofy person' who was well-loved. At the time of his death, he was a new father to an eight-month-old daughter. A graduate of Minden High School, his death left a void in the lives of his family and friends. The Ruston Police Department launched an investigation into the homicide, seeking information from the public to help identify the person or persons responsible for the shooting.

In the years following the incident, the case has remained a source of pain and unanswered questions for Robinson's family. While a comment on a memorial page in 2020 mentioned that a 'Carlos Heard' had been charged with his murder, there have been no official reports from law enforcement or news media to substantiate this claim. In fact, a news report from July 2025, five years after the shooting, stated that the person responsible had not been identified and the case remained unsolved. Ruston/Lincoln Crime Stoppers has offered a cash reward for any information that leads to the arrest and conviction of any suspect or suspects involved in the crime. The investigation into the death of Antonio Robinson is ongoing as his family continues to seek justice.
