In the pre-dawn hours of November 6, 2025, the life of 15-year-old Dallis N. Rhone was tragically cut short in what police have described as a drive-by shooting in Ruston, Louisiana. A student at Ruston High School, the young male was asleep in his bed when gunfire erupted from a passing vehicle in the 700 block of Second Avenue at approximately 3:00 a.m.
Bullets penetrated the walls of his family's home, striking and critically wounding him.
First responders arrived at the scene to find Dallis gravely injured. He was rushed to Northern Louisiana Medical Center for emergency treatment. Despite the efforts of medical staff, he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead. The incident left the local community in a state of shock and mourning for the loss of a young life.
The Ruston Police Department immediately launched a homicide investigation into the shooting death of Dallis Rhone. Investigators began canvassing the area for evidence and seeking information from the public. To aid in their efforts, a reward of $10,000 has been offered for any information that leads to the arrest and subsequent conviction of the individual or individuals responsible for this violent act.
