Keayezimonde Haulcey, a 20-year-old Black man from Ruston, Louisiana, was known to friends and family as "2 Cain." Described as funny, loving, and generous, he was a father to two children and had attended Arcadia High School. In the wake of his death, a fundraiser was organized to provide help and support for his grieving family.
On Wednesday, January 27, 2021, Keayezimonde was shot and killed in his hometown. The fatal shooting occurred in the 300 block of Standifer Avenue.
The Ruston Police Department immediately launched a homicide investigation.
In the days following the shooting, detectives interviewed several people. Their work quickly led them to identify a suspect in Keayezimonde’s death. Police announced that they had obtained an arrest warrant for Trederrious Fields, a 24-year-old resident of nearby Arcadia, Louisiana.
The warrant for Fields was for a charge of second-degree murder. As of late January 2021, he was being actively sought by law enforcement. The case remains unsolved. Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward for information that leads to the arrest of Trederrious Fields.
