In the late afternoon of a Monday in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, a burst of gunfire shattered the autumn air, forever altering the lives of one family. On November 14, 2016, Wykenda Lynette Brown, a 21-year-old female, was found seriously wounded in the 3200 block of Brady Street. She had sustained gunshot wounds and was rushed to a nearby hospital for medical attention.
