In the summer of 2018, the life of 20-year-old DeDawn Bush was tragically cut short on a sidewalk in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. On the evening of June 13th, while walking in the 2100 block of College Drive, she was approached by a man who opened fire, shooting her six times before fleeing the scene on foot. The young woman, a female, died at the scene from her injuries, leaving a community in shock and a family grappling with a sudden and violent loss.
