In the early morning hours of April 10, 2020, the life of 32-year-old Daisy Blake was tragically cut short in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Responding to a call, Baton Rouge Police arrived at an apartment in the 1600 block of Rosenwald Road around 4:45 a.m. to a grim discovery. Inside, they found Ms. Blake, who had sustained a fatal gunshot wound.
The investigation into the shooting quickly pointed to a domestic dispute as the motive.
Later that same day, authorities announced an arrest in connection with the homicide. Byron Caston, a 44-year-old man, was taken into custody by the Baton Rouge Police.
Investigators determined that Caston had allegedly shot Blake during the course of a domestic altercation. Following his arrest, Byron Caston was booked on one count of second-degree murder for his alleged role in Daisy Blake's death.
