In a quiet home on Highland Park Drive in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, a tragedy unfolded that would only be discovered days later. Maria Marcello, a 34-year-old woman, was found deceased on June 26, 2018, in what authorities would later rule a murder-suicide. Her husband, 36-year-old Thomas Marcello, was also found dead at the scene. Concern grew among friends and family when they were unable to contact the couple for several days.
