The events of March 21, 2023, unfolded at a residence on Adams Avenue, where police were called to the scene of a shooting shortly after 8:30 p.m. Inside, they discovered the bodies of Linda and a man identified as 58-year-old Walter Glasper.
Subsequent investigation by the Baton Rouge Police Department and the coroner's office determined that the incident was
a murder-suicide. It is believed that Walter Glasper shot Linda Patterson multiple times before turning the gun on himself.
