Jaci Rhea Bergeron, a 32-year-old woman, was found dead at the Oyo Hotel on Gwenadele Avenue in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, on April 21, 2022. The Baton Rouge Police Department responded to a reported shooting at the hotel around 1:40 a.m., where they discovered Bergeron suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. She was pronounced dead at the scene. The investigation into her death revealed that the hotel was a known hotspot for crime, with numerous EMS calls and incidents reported in the area.
