In the early morning hours of April 21, 2022, the life of 32-year-old Jaci Rhea Bergeron was tragically cut short in a violent encounter at a Baton Rouge hotel. Police were called to the OYO Hotel on Gwenadele Avenue, just off Airline Highway, shortly after 1:30 a.m. to investigate reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, they discovered Bergeron, who had been shot multiple times. She succumbed to her injuries at the scene.
