Luz Enith Botero-Posada, a 37-year-old woman, tragically lost her life on October 22, 2021, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Luz, who was of Hispanic descent, was the victim of a domestic violence incident that ended in a murder-suicide. According to reports, her estranged husband, Carlos N. Plaza, 36, forcibly entered the residence through a bedroom window after being denied entry at the front door. Once inside, he shot Luz before turning the gun on himself.
