A tragic story unfolded in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where a young woman's life was cut short. Arnishika Baker, a 22-year-old female, was fatally shot on the evening of October 18, 2021. The incident occurred at a residence on La Annie Drive, where police responded to a report of a shooting at approximately 7:30 p.m. Upon their arrival, they discovered Ms. Baker, who had succumbed to her injuries at the scene.

Authorities identified 24-year-old Demaris Jenks as the individual believed to be responsible for the shooting. Jenks, who also resided at the La Annie Drive address, was promptly arrested by Baton Rouge Police Department detectives.
