In Oakland, a 33-year-old man with three prior drug convictions has been accused of murder in connection with the fatal beating of a 62-year-old man that occurred in West Oakland in January 2011. The suspect, Nathaniel L. Davis, is charged with the death of Eddie Jones, both residents of Oakland.

Davis is scheduled to enter a plea on January 28 in Alameda County Superior Court and is currently held without bail at Santa Rita Jail. The incident took place on January 23, 2011, around 10: ...
