On June 23, 2015, Frederick Edmonds, age 57, was shot and killed in East Oakland, California. The incident occurred on the 2300 block of 27th Avenue in the early hours of the morning, at approximately 1:54 am. According to reports, Edmonds was outside his home when two unknown men approached him and shot him before fleeing together in a vehicle.
