In the summer of 2023, a burst of gunfire shattered the afternoon quiet on Townsley Street in Baton Rouge, leaving two people dead. One of the victims was Robin Rena Hayes, a 52-year-old woman. On June 27th, she and a man named Joseph Profit were shot in a violent encounter that would ultimately claim both of their lives.
