On March 16, 2019, Kemothy Starks Jr., a 23-year-old African American male, was tragically shot and killed at the Rolex Lounge in Bernice, Louisiana. The incident occurred around 1:45 a.m., when gunshots rang out, leaving Kemothy Starks Jr. dead and another individual critically injured. The shooting took place during St. Patrick's weekend, and the local community was deeply affected by the violence.
