In the early morning hours of Friday, January 20, 2017, a tragedy unfolded in Marrero, Louisiana, that would claim the life of a dedicated public servant. Michael Louviere, a 26-year-old male Westwego Police Officer, was on his way home after his shift when he came across what he perceived to be a car accident. A man of character and committed to helping others, he stopped to render aid, an act that would tragically be his last.
