In the tight-knit community of Marrero, Louisiana, a heartbreaking story unfolded on Wednesday, February 8, 2023, ending in the deaths of two brothers, 17-year-old Syrian Boudoin and his 21-year-old brother, Syril Boudoin, Jr. The young men, both residents of Marrero, were found deceased at their home in what authorities have described as an apparent murder-suicide.
Syrian was a student at the Youth Empowerment Project, navigating the formative years of his teenage life.
His older brother, Syril, was a 2020 graduate of John Ehret High School and had been employed at K&G Fashion and Legacy Kitchen. The brothers were the sons of Katrice Briggs and the late Syril F. Boudoin, Sr.
The circumstances leading to the tragic event that claimed both their lives have been linked to a history of loss and emotional struggle.
