In the early morning hours of a Saturday in Marrero, Louisiana, tragedy struck, leaving a family and community mourning the loss of 33-year-old Steven Bruer. On March 13, 2021, Bruer was inside a house when he was fatally shot. The Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office was called to the scene, where they found Bruer suffering from at least one gunshot wound.
