On a spring evening in Macon, Georgia, 67-year-old Phillip Wynes was making his way home from work, a routine journey that took a tragic turn. As he drove along Bailey Avenue on May 19, 2022, the sound of a gunshot shattered the evening calm. A bullet tore into his car, striking him in the upper part of his leg.
