On November 17, 2021, 37-year-old Jarvis Ottman, a Black male from Macon, GA, was tragically killed in a shooting incident on Mercer University Drive. According to reports, the Bibb County Sheriff's Office received a call around 4:30 p.m. regarding a fight that had broken out in the area.
