In the spring of 2015, the life of 19-year-old Tavaris Veal was tragically cut short by gunfire in Macon, Georgia. On the evening of March 26th, a shooting erupted at the Macon Garden Apartments located on Mercer University Drive. When the chaos subsided, Veal had been fatally wounded, and another individual was left injured. First responders rushed to the scene, but Veal succumbed to his injuries at a local hospital.
