Javonta Rashaun Faulks, a 32-year-old man from Macon, Georgia, was killed in a mass shooting in the early morning hours of May 18, 2025. The incident, which left two others dead and six injured, occurred in the parking lot of the Midtown Daiquiri Bar & Grill on Log Cabin Drive. Faulks, along with Jedarrius Meadows Jr., 28, and Javarsia Meadows, 24, were pronounced dead at the scene.
The shooting marked the city's first triple homicide in years and prompted a significant law enforcement
response. Bibb County Sheriff David Davis described the scene as troubling and concerning, noting that a large number of shell casings were found. The investigation was complicated by the fact that some of the security cameras at the bar were not operational at the time of the shooting.
In the weeks that followed, authorities made several arrests in connection with the deadly shooting. Muchman Bond III, 25, was apprehended in South Carolina and charged with three counts of murder. A second suspect, 17-year-old Travis Keyshaun Glover, was also arrested and charged with three counts of murder. A third individual, 28-year-old Jarrius Terrell Curry, was taken into custody and faced five counts of aggravated assault. A fourth man wanted in connection with the case reportedly died by suicide. The motive for the shooting has not been publicly disclosed by investigators.
Javonta Faulks was remembered by his family as a selfless and loyal man who was always willing to help others. His mother, Tamika Bonner, expressed her profound grief, stating that her heart was shattered by the loss of her son. She called for justice for Javonta, emphasizing that while it would not bring him back, it would give those responsible time to reflect on the lives they had taken. Faulks was a father to a daughter and a son.
