Jyshawn Miller, a 15-year-old Black male, was shot on the night of December 30, 2024, during a double shooting on the 2300 block of North Carter Street in Wilmington, Delaware, just after 8 p.m. Officers found him and another teen—age 16—suffering from gunshot wounds near 23rd and North Carter. Both were rushed to the hospital; Jyshawn died of his injuries while the other teen remained in critical condition. Police identified Jyshawn the following day.
