On March 30, 2016, a resident of Newark, Delaware, Jason Hicks, a 39-year-old Black / African American male, was tragically killed in Wilmington in what has been described as a robbery that took a fatal turn. The incident was rooted in a prior drug transaction between Hicks and one of the individuals involved in his death.
