On June 26, 2016, 34-year-old Allen T. McKinley Cannon, affectionately known as 'Messy,' was fatally shot in Wilmington, Delaware. The incident occurred around 10 p.m. on the 900 block of North Spruce Street, where police found Cannon with gunshot wounds to his head and leg. He was transported to Christiana Hospital but succumbed to his injuries.
