Edward E. Mitchell, a 34-year-old police officer with the New York City Police Department, tragically lost his life on July 15, 1977, in New York, NY. Officer Mitchell was shot and killed while attempting to arrest a suspect involved in a robbery. The incident occurred at a luncheonette located at 3809 10th Avenue.
