On the evening of February 11, 2023, at approximately 10:06 PM, the New York City Police Department (NYPD) responded to a 911 call reporting a male shot inside Level Up Exotics, a smoke shop located at 2 West 125th Street in Harlem. Upon arrival, officers discovered 42-year-old Alfred Johnson with gunshot wounds to his torso and neck. Emergency Medical Services (EMS) transported Johnson to NYC Health + Hospitals / Harlem, where he was pronounced deceased.
