On a tragic evening in Dillwyn, Virginia, the life of 25-year-old Ieishia Lynnett Green was cut short. On January 28, 2019, the Buckingham County Sheriff's Office received a distressing call reporting two individuals with gunshot wounds at a residence on Taylors Park Lane. Upon their arrival, deputies discovered the bodies of Ieishia Green and 24-year-old Domicci Meaton Brown.
Both had sustained fatal gunshot wounds.
Subsequent investigation by law enforcement pointed to a grim conclusion: the incident was a murder-suicide. It was determined that Domicci Meaton Brown was the perpetrator who shot and killed Ieishia Green before turning the weapon on himself. As a result of this finding, the investigation was concluded, with no further suspects sought or arrests made in connection with the case. Both individuals were transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Richmond for official confirmation of the cause and manner of their deaths.
Ieishia Lynnett Green, a Black/African American woman, was remembered as a devoted mother, daughter, and friend with a warm and infectious smile. A graduate of Buckingham County Public Schools, she was an active member of the Anointed Fellowship Praise Church. Known for her strong work ethic from a young age, she was employed as a private sitting companion and a cook at a local Fas Mart. Her sudden and violent death sent shockwaves through the community, leaving her family and friends to mourn the profound loss of a woman described as generous and selfless.
