In the early hours of a spring morning in East Harlem, a dispute tragically cut short the life of a young man from Queens. Steven Vasquez, a 21-year-old Hispanic male, was visiting the Wagner Houses on East 124th Street on April 17, 2016. An argument broke out, and in the ensuing violence, Vasquez was shot in the head. The incident occurred around 2:11 a.m. in a third-floor hallway of the building, a place that would become a grim crime scene.
