On a cold January evening in Staten Island, the course of several lives was irrevocably altered by an act of brutal violence. Carl Clark, a 52-year-old man, was at his place of employment on Buel Avenue on January 24, 2017, when a former co-worker, Ricky Dennis, entered the premises and opened fire. Both Clark and his boss, Michael Genovese, were fatally shot in what was described as an execution-style killing. The suddenness and brutality of the act sent shockwaves through the community.
