Michael Anthony Evans, a 26-year-old White male, was fatally shot in Staten Island on the afternoon of May 09, 2022. The incident occurred around 3:14 p.m. near the corner of Beach Street and Union Place in the Stapleton neighborhood. Responding officers from the 120th Precinct discovered Evans with a gunshot wound to his chest. He was transported to Richmond University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
His death marked the first fatal shooting of that year on Staten Island.
Known to his loved ones as a talented musician, songwriter, and rapper, Michael Anthony Evans was described as a "Protector" who had a bright smile and a laugh that could light up any room. Ultimately, two men were arrested and charged in connection with the murder of Michael Anthony Evans. Both individuals later pleaded guilty to the charges brought against them, bringing a measure of resolution to the case. Evans was also an organ donor, and through his passing, he was able to help others.
