Michael Anthony Evans, a 26-year-old White male, was fatally shot in Staten Island on the afternoon of May 09, 2022. The incident occurred around 3:14 p.m. near the corner of Beach Street and Union Place in the Stapleton neighborhood. Responding officers from the 120th Precinct discovered Evans with a gunshot wound to his chest. He was transported to Richmond University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. His death marked the first fatal shooting of that year on Staten Island.
