On July 8, 2023, at approximately 7:53 p.m., 35-year-old Bassam Abdel-Rahman Khateeb was fatally shot during an attempted robbery at Manor Deli & Convenience, located at 444 Manor Road in the Castleton Corners section of Staten Island, New York.
