In the early morning hours of October 28, 2017, a dispute in the Mariners Harbor neighborhood of Staten Island turned deadly, claiming the life of 28-year-old Sheldon Bell, a Black male. The fatal encounter unfolded around 4 a.m. near the corner of Grandview Avenue and Continental Place.
